Cabletron Systems E5 Series DNI cards enable users to connectMacintosh SE/30 systems to an Ethernet network using a wide variety oftransmission media including twisted pair, fiber optic, and coaxialcable. NEW_PARAGRAPH The E5 series interface is available in threestyles for the Apple Macintosh SE/30 and consists of a controller board,which fits onto the SE/30's main computer board, and an I/O card that isattached to the unit's internal accessory port. Each E5 series DNIcard is available with 16 KB or 64 KB of onboard buffer memory.Cabletron's DNI cards were the industry's first PC network interfacecards to have built-in network management and analyzer capabilities.Network administrators can gather information from and control the DNIcards using remote network management stations.
